How much does a custom suit cost in Singapore?
At We Are Suitable, custom 2-piece suits start from $259 SGD. Pricing varies based on fabric choice, construction method, and design details. We offer premium fabrics from mills like Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil, and Loro Piana. Visit our pricing page for a full breakdown.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX), and PayNow. A 50% deposit is required to begin your order, with the balance due upon collection.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. The price we quote includes fabric, construction, buttons, lining, and two fittings. The only additional costs are optional add-ons like monogramming ($15) or express service ($50).
Process & Timeline
How long does it take to complete a bespoke suit?
A bespoke suit from We Are Suitable typically takes 4-6 weeks to complete. We also offer an express service for urgent requests — suits can be ready in as little as 2 weeks for an additional fee. The timeline includes your initial consultation, measurement-taking, fabric cutting, construction, and a final fitting.
What happens during the first consultation?
During your first visit, we discuss your style preferences, occasion, and budget. We take 30+ body measurements, help you choose from 300+ fabrics, and discuss design details (lapel style, buttons, lining, pockets). The consultation takes approximately 45-60 minutes.
How many fittings are required?
Typically two fittings: one mid-construction fitting to check the overall shape and fit, and a final fitting before completion. Additional fittings can be arranged if needed at no extra charge.
What is the difference between bespoke and made-to-measure tailoring?
Bespoke tailoring creates a completely unique pattern from scratch for your body, while made-to-measure adjusts an existing pattern to your measurements. Bespoke offers superior fit and customisation but takes longer (4-6 weeks vs 2-3 weeks). At We Are Suitable, we offer both options — bespoke from $259 and made-to-measure for a faster turnaround.

Can I request a specific fabric?
Yes, absolutely. We stock over 300 fabrics in our studio, including premium options from Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil, and Loro Piana. If you have a specific fabric in mind that we don’t carry, we can source it for you.
Which fabrics are best for Singapore’s climate?
For Singapore’s tropical climate, we recommend lightweight wool (super 100s-120s), linen, cotton, or bamboo blends. These fabrics are breathable and comfortable in humidity while maintaining a sharp appearance. Our tailors can advise on the best options for your needs.
What fabric weights do you carry?
We carry fabrics ranging from 200gsm (lightweight summer suits) to 350gsm+ (structured winter/travel suits). For Singapore, we typically recommend 220-280gsm for the ideal balance of drape and breathability.
Services & Alterations
Do you offer women’s tailoring services?
Yes, we offer full bespoke tailoring for women, including custom suits, blazers, trousers, and dresses. Our women’s collection is designed for the modern professional woman who values both elegance and practicality.
Do you offer alteration services?
We provide alteration services exclusively for garments made by We Are Suitable. Alterations start from $50 and include adjustments to fit, length, and silhouette. We do not alter garments purchased from other tailors or off-the-rack brands.
Do you offer a mobile tailoring service?
Yes! We offer a mobile tailoring service where we come to your office, co-working space, or event. This is popular for corporate groups and wedding parties. WhatsApp us to arrange a visit.
Can you handle corporate or group orders?
Absolutely. We regularly handle corporate orders for company uniforms, team suits, and event attire. Group discounts are available for orders of 3+ suits. Contact us for a corporate quote.
Location & Logistics
Where is your studio located?
Our studio is at 190 Woodlands Industrial Park E5, #07-08 Woodlands BizHub, Singapore 757516. We’re open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 7pm. Appointments are recommended but walk-ins are welcome.
Is parking available?
Yes, free parking is available at Woodlands BizHub. There are ample lots in the building’s car park.
Do I need to book an appointment?

Care & Maintenance
How should I care for my bespoke suit?
Hang your suit on a wide wooden hanger after each wear. Brush it gently to remove dust. Dry clean sparingly (every 3-4 wears maximum) and steam rather than iron when possible. Store in a breathable garment bag for long-term storage.
Do you offer complimentary adjustments?
Yes, we offer complimentary adjustments within 30 days of delivery for all bespoke garments. After 30 days, minor adjustments are available at a nominal fee.
