Wedding suit timeline: when should the group start?
The single most common mistake is leaving it too late. Made-to-measure suits take roughly 4–6 weeks to produce, and a group needs time to gather everyone for measurement and a fitting. A safe timeline:
- 10–12 weeks before — get in touch, lock the colour and fabric direction, and book the group measurement session.
- 8–10 weeks before — measurement session for the whole party (or a mobile visit).
- 3–4 weeks before — fittings and any final adjustments.
- 1–2 weeks before — collection, so there is breathing room before the big day.
Starting early also means more fabric choice and less stress if a groomsman’s schedule shifts. If your date is sooner than this, talk to us anyway — tell us the date and we will be honest about what is achievable.

If a groomsman is overseas or can’t make the fitting
Most parties have at least one member who is travelling, posted overseas, or simply hard to pin down. Tell us early and we will work around it — options include a separate individual fitting when they are in town, or our mobile tailoring service ($100 per visit) to fit several people at one location. The earlier we know, the more easily we can keep everyone on the same timeline.
